One More Day

One more day

When the cooler nights had the warmth of your chest
Where we watched the meteors go past
The moon, the stars and beyond
The  imagination conquered
The countries far and wide
The shelf of trophies and plaques
Lied under the aging dust
The silverfish eating the faces
Fading, like the good days and the toil
A birthday wish became hieroglyphics
Today a mailbox full with emojie of candles
From a finger tap half asleep
How are you?
The letter K is now a story you told
Your breath and smiles lighting up
On a sonogram screen of memory
The bright pixels made of my DNA
Sorrows and pleasures unwound
Where I slip trying to climb
The spiralling ancestry of mistakes
To the day unknown
Called tomorrow
